A third-generation jeweler, Berge Abajian saw any experience as a challenge to be conquered. Working for the family business from 1982 to 1995, he left to establish his own company under the name Bergio. His initial fashion line, incorporating small yellow and pink diamonds from Italy, elicited a very positive response from American customers. Since then his mid- to high-end, 18kt gold fashion collection has successfully introduced pink gold, and pieces that utilize both pink gold as well as white or yellow gold, along with precious and semi-precious stones.
